Thank you for coming to our brand new site!

You are very welcome!

Everyday the news becomes more bleak, the headlines more ridiculous and the world seems to become an even more chaotic place. With so much turbulence in the modern world, it can be difficult to maintain a positive outlook and peace can be hard to find. JustPeaceCreation.eu is intended to be a little island paradise on the internet, where people can come together and share good news and generally make one's day a little brighter.

Benen-CahillMy name is Benen and I'm the composer of the song "The Girl" that is featured here. When Rosemarie asked me to write a song about Haiti, I was initially reluctant. However, I had a quick scan of the news headlines and what struck me was how impersonal the reports were. All the time, we were hearing reports of how many people were left homeless or orphaned, yet actual human experiences were left few and far between. The numbers being more important than the people it seemed.

So when I wrote "The Girl" it was intended to be devoid of any real message or preaching, all I just wanted to focus on was the human experience of a single child in the midst of the chaos. I don't know if I really succeeded, but the results are there for you to hear. And thanks to JingleBee for putting the music to images!

In that vein though, I think it's important that we, in all walks of life, take time to be mindful of the experiences of others.  Look past the blandly reported statistics and numbers to be fully aware of the situation of those around us. And that's why I'd like to take the time to praise Ronan Harrington's endeavours to raise money to take a homeless individual for a meal. It's a real human story, rather than helping a demographic he deliberately sets out to help one individual and one individual alone. Yet his actions generate such a feel good factor that he has no doubt influenced plenty of others around him.

With that I'll leave you, and hope you may find time today to think of someone you wouldn't normally engage with, and the daily experiences they face. You never know what it might inspire!
